Champions Tennis scraps “ballkid” age limit

Last year, the Champions event at Royal Albert Hall in London had some cute doggies come in to help with ballkid duties.

This year, they’ve decided to scrap the age limits for those interested in working at the legends event, which takes place from Nov. 28 – Dec. 1.

David Ferrer will return – as a “senior”.

At the trials, British tennis legend Tim Henman met up with Peter Knight, who’s now 88 and was a ballboy at Wimbledon from 1945-47 – and even ballboyed for Henman’s grandparents.

It’s a great idea, and good publicity for the event and its iconic venue.
