Sales sluggish for Davis Cup Finals

Whether the “new” Davis Cup finals will be a hit seems very much up in the air still – despite the scheduled presence of music star Shakira.

But the Guardian reports sales for the week-long, 18-country team event that has stepped all over 119 years of history have been sluggish.

The exception, of course, is when team Spain and Rafael Nadal play their preliminary ties.

A Kosmos spokesperson told the Guardian selling the “morning” sessions was much more difficult, “as happens in all tournaments”.

Teams like France, Serbia and Great Britain are featured in the 11 a.m. sessions.
