Kvitova in doubt for Wimbledon

It appears the forearm injury that forced Petra Kvitova to withdraw from the French Open might keep her out of Wimbledon, too.

The Czech press agency CTK reports Kvitova, who spoke at a children’s hospital event, said she would “do her best”.

Physio Pavel Kolar, who worked with Kvitova after the devastating home invasion, told iSport.cz it was an unusual tear – most often seen in the lower extremities or the shoulder.

He estimated a five or six-week recovery period.

Meanwhile, Kvitova said the pain came and went. On the positive side, she can now “sometimes” brush her teeth.
