Kid anthem singers wanted for US Open

The US Open again has begun its open auditions for kids 14 and younger, to sing the anthem before night sessions at this year’s event.

The deadline is May 10 to upload little Johnny or Hiroko’s version of “America the Beautiful” to the USTA site. A panel of judges will select those invited to a callback.

Winners, who must be legal US residents, will be announced in July.

They’ll get a “US Open gift bag”, and tickets to the relevant night session.

For the fights, hotels and expenses involved in going to New York, they’re on their own
