Chan makes a (name) change

Yung-Jan Chan is not only starting the 2018 season with a new doubles partner after the retirement of Martina Hingis.

She’s also starting it with a new name.

Known on the WTA Tour – and to those who don’t know her, but have adopted it anyway –  by the “English” name Latisha, Chan has made it official.

Why not, when you’re No. 1?

Chan’s new partner, Andrea Hlavackova, has added her married name as a middle name and now is “Andrea Sestini Hlavackova”.

Chan’s sister and former partner Hao-Ching, who goes by “Daisy” informally, has not made the change.
