Nicolas Mahut, who was coached by Jérôme Haehnel et Spaniard Gabriel Urpi this season, is restructuring for 2018.
And to that end, he has signed on former doubles partner Michaël Llodra to coach him, and travel with him on the road for a certain number of weeks.
Llodra is just 37, younger than many of the top doubles players on Tour and just a year and a half older than Mahut.
An elbow issue put a premature end to a career that peaked at No. 3 in doubles (with 26 titles, including three majors) and No. 21 in singles, with five titles.
