Schiavone in the winner’s circle again

The former French Open champion, now 38, is ranked No. 297 at the moment.

But that doesn’t mean Francesca Schiavone isn’t still winning.

Schiavone won the Waves Open 57 last week in Moulins-les-Metz, France, beating Chloe Paquet in the final.

With prize money of 24,000 Euros, 4,000 of that to the winner, it was better than a $25,000 ITF tournament. 

The Waves Open is part of the French CNGT the “Circuit National des Grands Tournois”, a cash tournament circuit that attracts pros and aspiring pros.

(Don’t you just love the fact that Schiavone is just letting the grey hang out? She looks great).
