Dellacqua talks Oz home pressure

Casey Dellacqua says her fourth-round run at her home Slam in 2008 was so unexpected, she might not have been ready.

But she has some insight on why longtime Aussie No. 1 Samantha Stosur has struggled in Australia.

“Sam puts more pressure on herself than anyone I know. … She’s so professional that maybe it sometimes gets the better of her,” Dellacqua wrote on the Players Voice

“It would be nice to see her relaxed, to realize what an exceptional player she is, to understand that what she’s achieved is just incredible, and just watch her enjoy playing in Australia.”
