You want to buy this tennis beer

There’s almost nothing better than a cold beer after a tennis match on a hot summer’s day.

Except maybe a special tennis beer.

Mark Hellendrung, president of the Rhode Island-based Narragansett Beer Co. found that his brewery’s new location was right next to where the old plant where Bancroft rackets were made used to stand. So the tennis player decided to pay homage.

Per Tennis Industry News, Hellendrung chose the name of the late-summer blonde ale – “Up or Down Ale” – to honor the pre-match tradition of spinning the Bancroft wooden stick for serve.

Great retro design, too.
