Another Thiem in the wings

With Austria’s Dominic Thiem establishing himself as a contender at the upcoming French Open, here’s a thought.

There’s another Thiem on the way: brother Moritz.

The interview below (sorry, no translation!) came in 2012 in Vienna, when Moritz was just 13.  He’s not the prodigy big brother was; at 17, he’s just starting to win matches at the higher ITF junior levels, and is ranked No. 358.

Having such huge footsteps to follow as a younger brother in tennis is a tough gig – ask Marko and Djordje Djokovic.  Or Brian Bencic, brother of Belinda.
