Nastase not going quietly

Hopefully – soon – people will stop asking Ilie Nastase what he thinks.

But in the wake of Wimbledon’s decision to potentially ban him from the grounds entirely this year, he was typically tone deaf in comments to Romania’s ProSport.

“What did I do? Did I kill a man? Ask them, in 1973, when everyone refused to play at Wimbledon and I played. If they are so small-minded, I don’t know what to do,” he said. “If I hurt Wimbledon, I would understand getting suspended. But I don’t understand.”
